In-Class Focus Group

This is a two-part service in which a CTLE consultant comes to the last 30 minutes of one of your class sessions.  The consultant will gather student feedback about what is going well in the course and inquire about student suggestions regarding opportunities for course improvement. The instructor is not present during the in-class feedback session. After the feedback session, you’ll meet with the CTLE consultant to discuss the feedback provided by your students; together you’ll consider suggestions and resources to help refine your teaching practice. You’ll also receive a hard copy of the compiled student comments.

The following free-response questions are used to gather your student’s feedback:

  1. What do you like about the course?
  2. What aspects of the course would you like to see changed? How?
  3. What does the instructor do to help you learn?
  4. What could the instructor do to improve or increase learning opportunities in this class?

You can add up to 3 questions in addition to the 4 standard questions (see form below.)
