Student Course Feedback Login Prompt & LTI in Canvas
Beginning March 1, 2021, Canvas will include a Student Course Feedback login prompt for students and an LTI for students and instructors. The login prompt directs students to the LTI to submit course feedback surveys. The login prompt is only active when there is an open survey for a course in which the student is enrolled. There is a “remind me later” button to dismiss the login prompt. When the student completes all open surveys or the surveys close, the login prompt no longer appears.
The LTI is directly accessible from a “Course Feedback” link in both User Account and Course navigations. The LTI allows students to submit or verify their course feedback and instructors to check active response rates.

LOGIN PROMPT FOR STUDENTS
The login prompt appears on login when a student has an open survey. The prompt includes a list of surveys the students can submit and a “remind me later” button. If a student clicks the “remind me later” button, the login prompt will not appear until the next login attempt. If a student has completed all available surveys, the login prompt no longer appears.
Navigation link
A "Course Feedback" link is included in the Course and User Account Navigation. The "Course Feedback" link opens the LTI for Students and Instructors (see below).
LTI FOR STUDENTS
The LTI for students includes a list of the student’s open course feedback surveys. Clicking on a course in the list will open the course feedback survey in Blue. When accessed from the login prompt or Course navigation, the student sees the “Current Course” tab which will show a link to the survey for the course the student clicked on or is in. When accessed from the User Account navigation, the student sees an additional “Other Courses” tab which shows all of the student’s open course feedback surveys.
LTI FOR INSTRUCTORS
The LTI for instructors includes a list of the instructor’s open course feedback surveys. Clicking on a course in the list will open a view in Blue that shows the survey dates and current response rate.
No Open Surveys
Students with no open surveys will not see a login prompt. If they click the “Course Feedback” navigation link, students and instructors with no open surveys will see this message:
“You have no open course feedback surveys at this time. Please contact the Student Course Feedback program at scf@ctle.utah.edu with questions.”
